A Quick Guide to Business Analytics (No Masters Degree Required)

A Quick Guide to Business Analytics (No Masters Degree Required) The business world today is much different than it was 50 years agoâ€"or even 10 years ago, for that matter. Computers have completely changed business operations, from increasing efficiency to minimizing errors. One of the most important ways modern technology has helped businesses get better is through more comprehensive data. It’s now easier than ever before for companies to discover critical insights. Here’s a quick guide to business analytics (no Master’s degree required). What Is Business Analytics? Before diving into the details of business analytics, it’s important to have a general understanding of the concept. Like many terms, different people will give you varied definition of business analytics. There are, however, a few key aspects to business analytics that are generally accepted as fact. It’s smart to think of business analytics as two-fold. There’s the data side to business analytics, which is necessary in order to understand variables affecting a company. Think of data as the building blocks of business analytics. Blocks, however, aren’t super exciting unless you build something out of them. This is the other half of business analyticsâ€"the human element, which determines how data can be useful to a company. How Do You Use Business Analytics? Just because you have a lot of fancy data doesn’t mean that it’s going to help you. Business analytics is only useful if the people within your company understand the value of making quantifiable decisionsâ€"and then actually act based on data instead of emotions or gut feelings. Walmart saw that Amazon was hurting their business. So their management looked at data, and has now implemented a strategy for growing their ecommerce. Business analytics isn’t just for the big players. Small- and medium-sized businesses can also benefit from the insights gained from this form of data analysis and execution. The important thing is that business owners and managers understand the key performance indicators (KPIs) that play a direct role in the bottom line. The priority of KPIs will depend on each individual business. For many companies, two of the most important KPIs are customer lifetime value (CLV) and customer acquisition cost (CAC). These both help inform marketing and budgeting strategies throughout a whole organization. How Is Business Intelligence Different from Business Analytics? This is a common question, especially for people who don’t have much experience yet in the business world. There’s a simple way to remember the difference between business intelligence and business analytics. Intelligence is simply data compressed down into a more consumable form. Business analytics goes a step further by doing the work of intelligence, but also trying to identify the causes of business outcomes. Business analytics is typically more valuable because, when done correctly, it can directly help companies create action plans. Pursue Data That Offers the Most Potential Not all data is equal. Even though data all boils down to numbers, there’s still a massive difference between highly relevant data and less useful data. Part of the responsibility of business analytics is identifying what sets of data actually might provide an economic benefit to a company. Since data collection and synthesis aren’t free, it makes sense to focus mostly on areas that have the greatest amount of promise for useful insights. On the other hand, there can often be incredible, unexpected revelations hidden in strange places. It’s the job of business analytics to toe the line between these two poles in order to provide companies the most value. Regardless of industry, business analytics can help give your company a competitive edge. You don’t necessarily need an advanced degree to have a firm understanding of how business analytics can work for you.

How to Write a Resume With No Experience

How to Write a Resume With No Experience Lack of experience is not uncommon for new college graduates. If you are a recent grad, don’t let this discourage you from applying for the job you want. Here are some tips on how to write an effective resume, even if you feel like you dont have enough experience. Start with a summary The summary at the beginning of your resume is your “elevator pitch”. Tell your potential employer who you are and what you have to offer. Since you don’t have much work experience, you may want to highlight your education and skills. Be concise. If you have a long list of skills, don’t list them all. Instead you should look at the job posting you are applying for and emphasise those that are mentioned in the job description and are  relevant to the employer and role you are applying for.  You can also check out job ads for other vacancies in the same industry and come up with a list of common skills required for these jobs. Having the skills an employer is looking for will get you a step closer to an interview. However, it is not recommended that you  lie about what you know or have experience in, as it is likely that you will get caught out at a later stage.   Tackle the experience section For a new college grad, this section can be a challenge, but not one that can’t be overcome. Obviously you can’t leave it empty. How about filling this section with all your babysitting experiences? Well, don’t do that unless you are looking for a job as a babysitter. Instead of focusing on work experience, which you lack, change the focus to your skills. Look back at the skills you put in the summary section and elaborate on each skill. Be sure to explain how you utilised each skill, for example, how did you apply these skills in your coursework?   Did you acquire any such skills in extracurricular activities? Did you have any volunteer work experience? How did you apply these skills? Even though you may not get paid for volunteer  work, they are still valid experiences that you should include in your resume and it is likely that you developed valuable skills and experience that will benefit you in your future career. For example, project management or leadership skills could be ones to mention, if you were involved in planning or organising activities among a team during a volunteer project.   List your work history If you have interned or volunteered at any company or organization, you can include the dates and positions in this section. Here you can give a brief explanation of the role you took on and what your responsibilities were.   However, since you have already listed your experience in the above sections, there is no need to repeat the same information here. If you have no work experience at all, it is ok to leave this section out of your resume and place more focus on your personal skills and attributes. Image Credit: Shutterstock

Improve Conversions from Your Brands Website Home Page - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career

Improve Conversions from Your Brands Website Home Page - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career Your personal brands website’s home page is the main hub to attract interested prospects. Your visitors should know that you are both ready and able to answer their questions and solve their problems in addition to what you have to offer in your products or services. So how exactly does a personal brand attract the right website visitors for better conversions? The method is simple once your brand applies the correct research as to exactly who your target market is. This includes knowing the right keywords that apply to your niche, and staying on top of current trends and technology. With a clear focus you can attract more loyal brand followers who will want to make a purchase. How to attract the right visitors to your website Here are several tips to effectively build your personal brand online and increase your conversion rates: Write effective headlines Your content should grab the readers attention in a way that is unique, specific, urgent. Use a good online headline checker to find out how effective your titles and keywords are. In the few seconds that a visitor has arrived to your landing page you will want to offer them a promise that catches their attention and matches what they have been searching for. This should compel them to want them to know more about how your business can help them in a way that is not being offered by your competition. Get personal Write a brand story that tells the reason of why you’re producing products or services. This can be done in a video or powerful image exactly what is unique to your business and how you can best serve your customers. Choose words and details that make the reader feel as if you know them personally, and that you understand exactly what they are looking for. Keep it simple and avoid overloading your visitors with too many images or videos. Open the lines of communication Make is easy for your visitors to get in touch with you either by phone, through email, a chat box, and on social media. This will build trust as well as improve your subscribers list as long as you include a detailed lead generation form on your website where you can provide a special offer and capture your prospect’s information. Your personal brand’s website should be a place where visitors have a clear definition of who you are, and find your content compelling as it meets their needs. You will not only be able to attract more leads, but also grow your brand influence on multiple online platforms.

Examples of Resume Writing About Making Copies - Dont Use Examples

Examples of Resume Writing About Making Copies - Don't Use ExamplesSome examples of resume writing about making copies, (copywriting) make a good argument for being old-fashioned. For example, there is the keyword stuffing in writing about making copies. While keywords are important for a good search engine ranking, the best way to do it is to write directly from the heart. Now, that does make a good point. So, why not use direct wordings to get your message across? In fact, more people use content-rich resumes to get a head start on that powerful search engine ranking! Why let someone else dictate how you are going to write, when you can write directly to the point and create that all important SEO.The problem with writing in a formal format that does not allow you to tell the reader who you are and what you have to offer, is that you never really know if the content is getting through or not. It might just as well not have gotten through, for all the effort that is expended. It may be worth your while to take a different route. That's right, you do not need to use examples of resume writing about making copies. In fact, those examples of resume writing about making copies that include the keyword stuffing tactic are probably not helping you out at all when it comes to landing a job. Take for example someone who has a bad criminal record and therefore cannot apply for a position as a receptionist. The mere thought of applying for a position as a receptionist is a huge turn off to that person. Instead, he should try to get a job as a security guard, working under the strict tutelage of the company's CEO. The one important thing that will separate him from his competition is that he will have an excellent first impression. The exact same thing can be said forcopywriting about making copies. You may think that your resume is bad or your skills are atrocious. You might not be able to use examples of resume writing about making copies because they are written by someo ne else. This is unfortunate, but it happens to a lot of writers out there. They may have had some talent but unfortunately they have been taught the wrong way to use their talent.Once you have been hired and your skills have been put to use in the real world, it is time to get back to writing. You have learned a lesson and now you want to polish your skills to perfection. You will need to write straight from the heart to achieve this goal.Once you have learned to write from the heart, you are ready to practice copywriting in the real world. You do not want to use examples of resume writing about making copies when you are not actually looking for a job. That is just a waste of time and precious time when you are really just trying to put together a very long resume for the sake of creating one. When you do use examples of resume writing about making copies, you are still putting your heart and soul into the piece, and that makes the impact that much greater. Remember, your resume w ill be seen by thousands of people before you even get a single interview.Copywriting should be a very personal art form that takes pride in its craftsmanship. You should feel free to give your life story without the fear of judgment. A clear, crisp, professional resume that expressing your ideas clearly and beautifully is the best marketing tool that you can ever have. It is up to you to make the most of your time and talent, no matter what that might mean to you personally.

Find a Perfect Platform for Trainee Accountant Jobs - Margaret Buj - Interview Coach

Find a Perfect Platform for Trainee Accountant Jobs When you think about the overall world economy, there are a lot of things that come to mind. To keep it simple, there are always more transactions, more currency exchanges, more businesses, and even more abilities for investors to get confused in the process. Accounting is just for taxes, it is also to keep the financial reports and records looking clean and organized. And, while the overall world of business is only expected to keep on growing, you also know that accounting in general is going to increase. The key for any individual to do early on if they are looking for a position in the accounting field is to find a perfect platform for trainee accountant jobs. What is even more important than finding a general degree in business and accounting, or finding the right internship for training after that is to simply find a perfect platform for trainee accountant jobs. It is not just in the general interests of the potential and future accountants to get that very training that they need, but it is also in the interests of the investors, auditors, and even the companies who hire the very accountants in the first place. Without having the correct systems in place, a simple mistake made from a lack of training or understanding can end up costing significant amounts of money in the short and the long run. No one wants to make a major mistake when it comes to their own personal taxes, let alone a major mistake for a major company where it could cost millions of dollars if not more. That is all the reason for you to find a perfect platform for trainee accountant jobs. Another important thing for anyone to do concerning the accounting field (or any field for that matter) is to pay attention to the potential job security within their organization as well as the overall economy as well. Not only can a simple certification or training certificate show you belong above the rest of the competition, but if anything ever happens for job cuts or a weak economy that may make some managers consider downsizing in general, you truly have the ability to stand out and be kept around because of your training. When it comes to being sure you will still have a job in good times and in bad, the key you need to do is to find a perfect platform for trainee accountant jobs. On top of everything else that comes with the benefits of taking the time to find a perfect platform for trainee accountant jobs, you cannot afford to just sit back and think your role is safe with a current salary. If you ever want to move forward in your role for responsibility as well as with titles, benefits, and salary, you need to look to the professional training systems offered by Priorityplacements.ie and see exactly how quickly you can get ahead. When you have fully proved yourself in the field of accounting and you can show that you are just as good as anyone else on the market, then you can either command a much more worthy salary, or you could test the market and see if someone else will be willing to pay you that amount as well.
